RE: [80_usa] Help with Exhaust System
I did the Borla cat-back system when my stock exhaust system was rotted
beyond repair. Went through 3 mufflers until they got the hangers
correct for my year, but they may have figured it out by now. Got a nice
phone call and appology from the president of the company. Again, that
was close to 4 years ago, maybe more.
I remember the new sound was nice, but it has been modified both by
rocks and by a local shop to suit me. Now it's just another sound my
truck makes. Would I do it again? Idunno. Might be cheaper just to go
custom stainless and get what you want the first time around. I remember
it being very spendy at the time, but the economy was good.
When my downpipes rotted out around the O2 sensors and I couldn't patch
it anymore I bought replacements from www.discountconverter.com. They
were direct bolt in replacement and have held up well so far. I doubt
they'll last as long as OEM, but they were 1/4 the price so I'm ahead of
the game.
