[3FE] Speedo cable
Yeah, that cable just seems a leeettle bit too short, I'd like to see how
they get it attached at the factory.
I think what I did was look at the other end of the cable, where it travels
down under the truck, I found I could loosen a few of the little clamp
thingys and get some slack pushed up into the cabin. It gained me a few
inches, which really helped. Now I can reach my hand behind just before the
cluster is back in, snap the cable back on, then pull my hand out and stuff
the cluster/dash panel back home.

Daniel,
Welcome to the best list. Stick arround. In about 13 months I have
moved from where you are to the go to guy for my family and friends
on all automotive mechanical questions.
Judging from your string idea, you are a mechanical guru in the
makeing. I did the same job about 3 weeks ago. My speedo cable was
giving me fits. I ended up on my back under the dash and found a way
to get my hand up in there enough to attach the cable, with a gash on
my arm to illustrate why I should have found a better solution.
Ken, probalby had no difficulties with this one did you?
